LOL

Job 8:21
He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting.

Laughter is really good medicine.  I am one that you can always see smiling.  When I was younger I stopped smiling for a spell because people would always question me about why I was so happy and would conclude that I was goofy.  Well I did not want to be known as goofy so I would look more serious. Who wants to look like a sour face all the time?  By the way I felt better when I was smiling and you really have to try really hard to make yourself look mean all the time.  Then they would ask me who I was mad with?  No one! Geez you just cannot please everyone for sure.  So why not please God who has filled our mouths with laughter soooo laugh out loud!  See how good it feels.  Changes your countenance too! Thank God for laughter. Blessings

Giving Thanks with a prayerful heart

With Thanksgiving now gone. I sit and reflect on this year coming to it's end. Knowing I have been given the privilege to be apart of something BIG, Proverbs 31 Mama Ministry. 2009 and 2010 was an incredible year but, it left me feeling like I traveled first class to hell and back from bad choices I made and was suffering the consequences called regret. I was lost in church and wondering in the land called Shame not to far from Compromise valley. I didn't want to face my problem and I didn't want to ask for help out of them, fearing of people finding out, I don't have it together. New years 2010 was coming close, when I made the choice to give my life back to God and delicate 2011 to Him totally, and what a year it has been. I have been given the privilege to be apart of something big, Proverbs 31 mama Ministries. I first found out about P31MM from their Bible study, and the rest is history. So I sit prayerful and thankful to God that He given me new life and a mission being fulfilled, praying that God will send and blend women to this ministry and giving Him thanks for the lives He has changed. I wouldn't have made it through this year without God, P31MM, and my home Church. All working together to get, and give God the glory out of my life. P31MM exposed me to women of God, who are Wives, Mothers, Daughters, Sisters, Aunts that love God and wasn't ashamed to admit their short coming about their life, marriage and families. Their honesty was refreshing and let me know God can and will change the willing heart of His people. I am thankful that I am here and with you all *(~_~)* Donnisha.

Thank God for sweet tea

Giving thanks to God for the simple pleasures of life!  My favorites red velvet cake and sweet tea (say cheese).  God wants us to enjoy life and not live like sour lemons.  Carrot sticks and water are good but there is nothing wrong with indulging in some things that you like as long as you are not over doing it.  I am so thankful that God has giving us taste buds to simply enjoy good food and I am a true believer that food brings people together in good way.  So next time you want to enjoy a piece of cake, a bowl of ice cream, sweet tea, or a candy bar just enjoy it (don’t over do it) and thank God for it!

He is faithful!

Matthew 19:29
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.

Giving all thanks to God because His Word does not return void.  I remember when God called us to Colorado and it was not well received by our family.  Of course they did not understand the spiritual aspect of it.  All they knew was that their daughter, granddaughter, niece, and cousin was going off to a place where they were not able to have immediate access to her.  I did not want to leave my family either.  But through it all God has shown Himself so faithful.  We moved to a place where we had no friends and no family but God has shown us that wherever His people are we will always have family.  We sold all our belongings and God has given us new stuff and a house,  He has given us the best spiritual family we could ever ask for, He has given us true godly friends, and best of all He gave us our own little family our son and daughter.  Don’t tell me God is not true to His word!  Thankful for a God we can trust with everything we have in us! Blessings~

Can't afford maid servants..HELP!

When you read the verses in Proverbs 31 you would know that this woman has some maid servants!  Well some of us cannot afford maid servants right now.  But be thankful that God has giving you maid servants in other forms to help you out a little and make your work a little easier.  We have the dishwasher, washer, dryer, vacuum, and kitchen gadgets for easier cooking/baking.  Which one of these are you most thankful to God for?  Well I will tell you mine…dun dun duuunn…dun dun!  The washer and dryer!  Oh man I am way thankful to God for these household appliances.  Laundry is already not my best friend and to think of having to do laundry any other way I just don’t know what I would do (smiles)!  Every time that I have to tackle the laundry I just thank God that it could be worse and I could be out there doing it on a rubboard!  So next time you looking at those dishes piled in the sink, the laundry looking a mess, dinner needs to be cooked and you feel like complaining.  Stop right there and thank God for your household maid servant appliances and gadgets because it really could be much harder!  Thank you God!!

MRS

Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

As we are focusing on how we can give thanks to God this month we need to be thankful that God has allowed us to present our bodies a living sacrifice and praise Him for not having to go out and kill some animal (I know I would pass out).  The verses in Romans are telling us that this is our reasonable service because of what God has done for us.  What has he done for us you say?  All throughout Romans you see God’s amazing wisdom and indescribable grace and His plan to have mercy upon all people by not given us death which is what we deserve.  So Paul is saying that being that we know how amazing God is and we know what He has done for us the only logical thing or reasonable thing to do is worship the Father with our whole being and leaving ourselves at His disposal to be used.  Blessings
